Brush issues challenge to players

13 April 2012

Paul Brush has challenged his Leyton Orient players to play for the entire 90 minutes in tomorrow's Worthington Cup first-round tie with QPR.

Orient are still searching for their first away win of the season following Saturday's 2-1 defeat at Shrewsbury, and the Os manager feels that a lack of concentration is to blame.

Brush said: "We need to apply ourselves for 90 minutes and must stop giving the initiative away.

"We should have had 10 points from our four away games, but we have only got one. That is not good enough and we have to improve our concentration."

Brush aired his grievances at a team meeting yesterday and believes his side will respond in tomorrow's London derby.

He said: "QPR will be full of confidence. They are a quality side and a big club, but we have the ability to cause them problems. There are 20 players in this squad who are all good enough, and if they are given the chance then they will take it." <
