Brush pleased with friendly win

Leyton Orient's preparations continued with a 4-0 victory over Welling United, for whom it was former England defender Paul Parker's first game as manager.

First-half goals from Billy Jones and Boniek Forbes put the Brisbane Road club on their way. Lee Thorpe and Gary Fletcher added to the tally after the interval.

"We played some good football at a good tempo and I was pleased with the evening's work," said manager Paul Brush.

"I was also pleased with Dave McGhee who played his first 45 minutes for 10 months."
