Caddie Lance Ten Broeck grabs his chance

Lance Ten Broeck caddied for Jesper Parnevik at the Texas Open and then went out and shot 71, with borrowed clubs.

The former US Tour pro, who has caddied for the last decade, was told he could take David Berganio Jr's spot in the field after the American withdrew because of a back injury.

"It's the first time I have done it," said Ten Broeck, 53, who got his son to caddie for him. He was one shot adrift of Swede Parnevik and eight behind joint leaders, Americans Paul Goydos and Justin Leonard.
