Cardiff City FC: an apology

GETTY
Standard Sport29 April 2014

An article of April 5 reported that Vincent Tan had refused Iain Moody entry to the Cardiff City FC directors’ box and had forced him to sit with away fans during Cardiff’s recent match against Crystal Palace.

We understand that in fact this was not the case and neither Mr Tan nor Cardiff City FC played a part in Mr Moody’s decision to sit with the away fans. The club has confirmed that Mr Moody did not request entry to the directors' box and that, had he done so, he would have been afforded the same hospitality as any other guest from another club. We are sorry that the original report was incorrect.
