Care named in England training squad

12 April 2012

Uncapped Harlequins scrum-half Danny Care has been called into England's training squad ahead of the RBS 6 Nations clash against Scotland at Murrayfield next Saturday.

Care is the solitary addition to a 30-man group that will assemble in Bath on Sunday evening.

The 21-year-old has been in outstanding form for his club and is currently keeping England's World Cup scrum-half Andy Gomarsall out of the side.

Gomarsall does not feature in the training squad, but there is a place for Wasps flanker James Haskell.

Haskell went off during the first half in Paris suffering from an ankle injury and was replaced by debutant Tom Croft.

Head coach Brian Ashton is due to announce his starting line-up on Tuesday, with changes at a minimum following England's impressive 24-13 victory over France.
