Carew escapes Norway ban after Riise bust-up

Norway have decided not to ban John Carew after his training ground bust-up with John Arne Riise, and could pick him for their Euro 2004 qualifier against Luxembourg next month.

The Roma striker was sent home before last week's friendly against Portugal after hitting team-mate Riise during an argument in training.

Both players will receive written warnings.
