Castleford back on track

Castleford recovered from their first defeat this season at Bradford with a 56-16 victory over Crusaders that lifted them to second place in Engage Super League.

Winger Kirk Dixon piled up 24 points with two tries and eight goals as the Tigers totally dominated against indisciplined Crusaders, who slumped to their sixth straight defeat.

The Welsh team trailed 22-0 at half-time after paying dear for having three players sin-binned in the first half and that margin was doubled before they finally got on the board themselves.

Kallum Watkins scored four tries as an under-strength Leeds side came from behind to grind out a 28-6 victory against Wakefield.

The Rhinos were on the back foot for the majority of the first half and trailed to a solitary Greg Johnson try.

Watkins then made the Wildcats pay for their profligacy by crossing the whitewash on four occasions, while Danny Buderus added another score as Leeds made amends for their 30-16 loss to St Helens last week.

Jordan Turner and Kirk Yeaman ran in late scores as Hull claimed their second win of the campaign by stunning Harlequins 40-30 at the Stoop.

The visitors crossed for four tries in the final 15 minutes as they erased a huge deficit to ease up the engage Super League table.
