Celtic survive new Thompson failure

Alan Thompson will quit as Celtic's penalty taker after missing another at Parkhead.

Gregory Coupet's save did not prove costly as Liam Miller and Chris Sutton headed second-half goals to sink Lyon in Champions League Group A.

Henrik Larsson set up both goals to exact revenge for his broken leg against Lyon in 1999 and taunts from rival Giovane Elber. "Those goals gave me as much pleasure as any I've scored," he said.
