Cesc frustrated by Gunners' 'impotence'

12 April 2012

Frustrated Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas has spoken of his "anger" at the Gunners' empty trophy cabinet.

Fabregas remains a hot property in the European transfer market, with Real Madrid and several other big clubs known to covet the 22-year-old Spanish midfielder's skills.

He, meanwhile, admits the lack of silverware at the Emirates continues to eat away at him and told The Sun: "The absence of titles at Arsenal is what angers me most. When you don't win everyone is in a bad mood. For four years now, we've needed a title to regain our belief in ourselves."

Cristiano Ronaldo's reasons for moving from Manchester United to Madrid have forced Fabregas to confront again his disappointments with Arsenal.

"Cristiano said he's leaving Manchester United because he had nothing else to win," he notes.

"For me right now, it is the exact opposite - seeing the impotence."
