Chambers thrilled as Cas topple Saints

Dwain Chambers was thrilled by Castleford's 30-24 engage Super League victory over St Helens at the Jungle.

The disgraced sprinter, who has begun a month's trial with Super League's bottom club, watched from the main stand after Tigers coach Terry Matterson decided he is not yet ready for his first taste of rugby league.

"It was great to see how the wingers move around because that's the position I'll be playing in," said Chambers. "I'm only focusing on what the wingers do because if I can find a gap then that's where my speed will prove to be my greatest asset."

He added: "I have all the ability but I need to prove that I can last 80 minutes. I'm still in my early stages but I'll be ready.

Chambers, who only picked up a rugby ball for the first time earlier this week, went on: "That was the first time I'd watched a live rugby game.

"I've watched the World Cup but I've flicked over because it has never really interested me.
