Checks begin on Greek Games

Officials today began inspecting Athens' pro g r e s s towards the next Olympics, less than 1,000 days before the Games are scheduled to begin.

A delegation was pouring over transport projects and the building of the Olympic village, two areas of concern.

Last year, the International Olympics Committee warned Athens it would take the Games away if Greece did not shape up.
