Paris Saint-Germain forward Edinson Cavani has refused to rule out a move away from the French capital this summer, fuelling rumours he could be headed to Manchester United or Chelsea.

Cavani, who was bought by the French champions for a record-breaking £55m last summer, is reportedly a transfer target for David Moyes at Manchester United, who will look to significantly strengthen his squad for next season.

Chelsea are still in the hunt for a striker, with Atletico Madrid’s Diego Costa looking to most likely addition, but Cavani is apparently on Chelsea’s radar also.

Asked if he will stay at his current club by French newspaper L’Equipe, Cavani said: “We’ll see at the end of the season. We have to finish the season first.

“I am in Paris, but there are certainly things we must talk about with the club, things should be done differently.

“Chelsea were interested, but the only thing that matters in the transfer window is spending money, just like Palermo did in 2009, Napoli in 2011 and PSG did last summer.

“PSG showed real desire and determination to include me in their project. When you see how much they invested in me, it is proof that they really want me.

“If something should happen, it’s my brother who will do it and will be at the table with interested parties.”
