Chelsea wait on Robben scan

Chelsea are sending Arjen Robben for a scan to assess an injury to his badly bruised foot after he limped off at Blackburn last night.

The Dutch winger scored the winner but was hurt in a challenge by Aaron Mokoena and left Ewood Park on crutches.

Jose Mourinho said: "Robben is injured and in a lot of pain.

"He has to go for a scan but it's an injury and he will be out for some time. It could be four weeks or four months.

"Didier Drogba got an injury just before we travelled and the medical department told him to stay home."

Chelsea moved 11 points clear at the top of the Premiership, but an ill-tempered match sparked a row between the two managers.

Hughes claimed Mourinho refused to shake his hand after a match that the visitors were lucky to win and that saw Petr Cech save a Paul Dickov penalty.

Mourinho replied: "This is ridiculous. The game finished, I am happy and want to be with my players.

"I shook hands with Mark Hughes two or three times before the game - maybe he didn't see - but when the game finished I went on to the pitch with my players.

"If I leave now and he's there, of course I will shake his hand, there's no problem."

Mourinho may not have a problem, but Hughes appeared to.

Hughes said: "I was upset the opposition manager was not gracious enough to come and shake my hand. You have to be gracious in victory as well as defeat. I've no idea if he's coming for a drink, perhaps he's still on the pitch.

"If Chelsea are honest with themselves - and we hope they will be - then they will say they were lucky to get the result. Our performance was superb.

"We played supposedly the best team in the league and they caused us no problems. We made them look ordinary. They're not the best in the country on that showing."
