Cheltenham hold talks with Cottee

Tony Cottee, the former West Ham, Everton and Leicester striker, has been offered the chance to revive his career with Third Division Cheltenham after being released by Millwall at the end of last season.

Cottee, 35, has held talks with Cheltenham manager Steve Cotterill and has now gone on holiday for three weeks to consider his offer.

The veteran striker, who has been capped seven times by England, is continuing his playing career after his first attempt in management ended in failure last season after he was sacked by Barnet.
