Classic options for Ameerat

13 April 2012

Connections of Ameerat will not be rushed into deciding which Classic route the Sagitta 1000 Guineas heroine will take following her victory at Newmarket.

Ameerat was slashed to as low as 8-1 from 33-1 for the Vodafone Oaks at Epsom thanks to her game neck win over Muwakleh on Sunday.

But trainer Michael Jarvis warned punters to hold fire as she also holds entries in the Entenmann's Irish 1000 Guineas and Royal Ascot's Coronation Stakes.

The fillies' Classic at the Curragh is on May 27, just 12 days before the Oaks at Epsom.

"She's fine, A1. She's a possible for the Irish 1000 Guineas but we won't rush into things and will not decide anything yet. I'll talk to the owner in the next 24 to 48 hours," said the trainer, who was ending a 33-year wait to capture his first British Classic.

"We'll let the dust settle first."
