Coppell full of praise for Burgess

Manager Steve Coppell paid tribute to striker Ben Burgess after he helped Brentford to a 3-0 win over Huddersfield.

The on-loan striker from Blackburn was expected to be out for at least a fortnight after tearing his hamstring playing for the Ireland Under-21s.

But Burgess recovered with the help of the Ewood Park physio. Coppell said: "I told him to spend some time with his family up north but a couple of days before the game he told me he was fit."

Remaining League games: Saturday, QPR (A); 20 Apr, Reading (H)
