Kent

Kent turned the screw this morning as Lancashire seemed poised for the follow-on at Tunbridge Wells.
Starting the day 369 runs behind and with only four wickets in hand, the visitors lost three quick wickets.
Mohammad Sami accounted for the first two as Warren Hegg (24) was caught by Andrew Symonds and Kyle Hogg (4) was caught by Matthew Walker.
Kent struck again as Steven Crook (37) was trapped lbw by Alamgir Sheriyar.

Middlesex

Paul Weekes reached his halfcentury for Middlesex this morning at Lord's as they continued their uphill struggle against Division One leaders Warwickshire.
The visitors enjoyed a superb afternoon yesterday, when Neil Carter ripped through the Middlesex top order with three wickets after Warwicks had scored a huge first innings total.
With five wickets down and still 455 runs adrift, the home side are in clearly in a perilous position.

Surrey

Jonathan Lewis claimed all six wickets of Surrey's second innings when he had Nadeem Shahid caught for a duck as the visitors slumped to 63-6, still 45 runs behind Gloucester's first innings total of 406 at Bristol. Seamer Lewis had the superb figures of six for 39 off just 10 overs as he tore into the the Surrey batsmen who had little idea as to handle his swing.

Essex

Darren Gough struck again against his old club Yorkshire at Chelmsford to put Essex in a good position.
The former Test star removed Anthony McGrath for just five - his fourth wicket of the match - to leave Yorkshire in trouble at 53 for three after Danish Kaneria had earlier taken Steven Kirby for one. A lot now rests on Aussie bighitter Darren Lehmann.
