England’s Test series against West Indies looks set to be postponed next week.

The ECB will meet to discuss a new look to the cricket calendar for this summer.

Following the decision by the Government to extend the lockdown until May 7 at the earliest, the series against West Indies, scheduled to start at The Oval on June 4 is in increasing jeopardy.

Instead, discussions are to be held about whether to put that in place in early July or after Pakistan’s Test tour ends.

The T20 Blast start could also be postponed, while the inaugural Hundred looks unlikely to make its bow until 2021.

Already, all professional cricket in the UK has been suspended until May 28, the date the Blast had been scheduled to begin.
