'Exciting' clash with world champions in Dubai

10 April 2012

England will play two Twenty20 Internationals against Pakistan in Dubai next month ahead of their tour to Bangladesh

The games at Dubai Sports City provide an extra chance for England's limited-overs team to gel ahead of the World Twenty20 in the West Indies in April.

England will now arrive in Dubai on 14 February for their matches against the Twenty20 world champions before flying to Bangladesh a week later.

Once there they will play two one-day warm-ups, three one-day internationals, a three-day practice match and two Tests.

England Lions are also set for a busy time. They will arrive in Dubai on 7 February before playing Andy Flower's senior side in a Twenty20 warm-up in Abu Dhabi 10 days later.

After that the second string will remain in the UAE, where they will play three Twenty20 matches against Pakistan A followed by three 50-over games against the same opposition.

Managing director of the England and Wales Cricket Board, Hugh Morris, said: "The Twenty20 matches against the world champions will be an exciting challenge for England."
