West Indies wicketkeeper Denesh Ramdin has decided not to appeal against his two-match Champions Trophy ban for poor sportsmanship.

Ramdin missed today’s Group B match against India at The Kia Oval after the International Cricket Council punished him for claiming a catch he appeared to have grounded in Friday’s match against Pakistan.

The West Indies insisted Ramdin genuinely believed he had done enough to complete the dismissal of Pakistan captain Misbah ul-Haq but the authorities did not agree and also docked his entire match fee.

He will also miss the game against South Africa in Cardiff on Friday.
