For the first time ever the ECB will directly stream a non-televised match when England Women play Australia in the first NatWest ODI match today.
The Women’s Ashes is being played at the same time as the men’s series but it is played in a different format to the male counterpart which is new for this year.
Whereas the male series is played over five Test matches the women play with one Test match, three one-day internationals and three 20/20 internationals. The teams play for points with the Test match being worth six (because it was drawn it each side gets two points) and each one day match being worth two.
In the opening test Heather Knight shone for England with 157 in the first innings which is the third highest score in Women’s Ashes history.

For Australia, Sarah Elliot did the damage in the first innings with 104 whilst captain Jodie Fields top scored in the second innings with 78. The draw leaves the series delicately poised as England look to take back the Ashes from Australia.
The game will be shown live on the ECB’s website and their official YouTube channel which has also been providing live streaming for the Investec Ashes series.
The commentary team will consist of former England players Isa Guha and Mark Butcher, they’ll be joined by BBC journalist Alison Mitchell.
