Crosas passes Strachan test while Ilunga is latest to be linked with Celtic

13 April 2012

manager Gordon Strachan was pleased to finally confirm the signing of Crosas and still wants to bring in more players.

He was linked yesterday with Toulouse's £3million-rated Congolese left back Herita Ilunga, who has three years left on his deal with the French side.

New Bhoy: Crosas will add further competition in midfield

'Crosas looks as if he can pass it well but it will be a wee while before he settles in,' said Strachan.

'We have good players here, so he will have to try to break in.'

Meanwhile, Hearts are continuing to track unwanted Derek Riordan and are keen to take the former Hibs man back to Edinburgh.

With Celtic having knocked back £400,000 from Burnley, however, the Gorgie club are far from guaranteed to muster the finance to swing the deal.

They are considering offering Riordan a pre-contract agreement in January, enabling them to sign the forward - stolen away from Hibs for £150,000 by Celtic - for nothing at the end of this season.
