Davies: I thought we'd blown it

Laura Davies today admitted she thought Europe had "blown it" before sealing victory over the United States in the Solheim Cup at Loch Lomond.

The home side needed just four points from the 12 singles on the final day but were down in 10 matches at one stage.

But Dale Reid's side rallied superbly for a 141/2 to 111/2 victory and Davies said: "This is better than when we won at Dalmahoy in 1992 because I thought we'd blown it."
