Felipe Massa has made a remarkable recovery says his personal physician

Felipe Massa has been told he will not need another operation in the near future after a series of tests in a Sao Paulo hospital.

The Ferrari drvier is back in Brazil after spending nine days in a Budapest hospital following his horror smash during qualifying for the Hungarian Grand Prix, in which he fractured his skull.

Massa's personal doctor, Dino Altmann said: "We did a series of in-depth tests, and the outcome was very encouraging.

"It was decided it wouldn't be currently necessary to further intervene."
