Dott maintains advantage

Graeme Dott emerged from a testing third session with his four-frame lead intact and a third appearance in the Betfred.com World Snooker Championship final was within touching distance.

The 32-year-old Scot had led 10-6 overnight, but Selby won four of the opening five frames to trail 11-10.

With three frames remaining, there was the possibility that Selby would move level or even lead heading into this evening's concluding session. However, Dott dug deep into the memory bank and rediscovered the game which has taken him past Peter Ebdon, Stephen Maguire and Mark Allen, winning all three to move into a 14-10 lead.

He needs just three more tonight to clinch a final meeting with Neil Robertson or Ali Carter.

Australian left-hander Robertson held a 15-9 lead over Carter as they resumed this afternoon, playing to a finish.
