Double ton for Kallis

Jacques Kallis
12 April 2012

Jacques Kallis' landmark innings saw him celebrate with a double hundred before he became South Africa's only victim on the second morning of the decisive third Test against Sri Lanka.

Kallis, having reached 159 in Cape Town on Tuesday to achieve the feat of scoring centuries against every Test-playing nation, added 65 this morning before falling to Rangana Herath.

Departing on 224, from 325 balls and boasting 31 fours and a six, Kallis was given a standing ovation as he returned to the pavilion. His departure brought about the break for lunch with AB De Villiers going nicely himself on 84no and the hosts 453 for four.

Kallis fell victim to Herath when his attempted smash to long-on could only find the grateful hands of Angelo Mathews.
