13 April 2012

Adelinde Cornelissen and Parzival continued their domination of the International Horse Show at Olympia to lead the field after the freestyle event.

The Dutch world champion won Tuesday's dressage and then achieved a score of 80.750 yesterday to finish ahead of compatriot Hans Peter Minderhoud on Exquis Nadine, who recorded 77.350.

Finland's Kyra Kyrklund finished in third on Max, while Laura Bechtolsheimer was the best-placed Briton in fourth place.

British riders Richard Davison and Carl Hester finished sixth and seventh respectively.

Cornelissen was delighted but surprised to lead the field.

"It wasn't an easy ride. He was quite spooky and it's a bit of a miracle really," she said.
