Dutch keeper on trial at Spurs

13 April 2012

Tottenham caretaker manager David Pleat has offered a trial to Dutch goalkeeper Oscar Moens.

He has made two appearances for the national side but has been without a club since being released by AZ Alkmaar.

Pleat said: "Shwan Jalal picked up a very bad injury last week and he's unlikely to play again this season. We only have three senior goalkeepers and that is risky, so we are having a look at him."

Meanwhile, Spurs legend Clive Allen will hope to lead the club's reserves to victory over Watford tonight. Allen returned to the club in a coaching capacity following Colin Calderwood's decision to join Northampton.

Christian Ziege will continue his comeback from injury against Watford. Gary Doherty is also set to start in defence with Stephane Dalmat, Kazu Toda and Helder Postiga all named in the squad.
