Dyer back for Euro clash

14 April 2012

Kieron Dyer has declared himself fit for tonight's UEFA Cup quarter-final clash against PSV Eindhoven after recovering from a hamstring injury.

The Newcastle winger is in the squad having missed the first leg, which ended 1-1, and Sunday's draw with Arsenal but is now available.

Titus Bramble is also available after UEFA confirmed he will not be charged in connection with his clash with Remco van der Schaaf at the Philips Stadium.

He appeared to catch the Dutchman with a flailing arm, although referee Gilles Veissiere did not see the incident. Newcastle feared video evidence may be used to try their player after PSV coach Guus Hiddink criticised the official but UEFA have now said Bramble is in the clear.

PSV will be without Arjen Robben, who will join Chelsea in the summer. The winger has a hamstring injury and may not play again this season.

  • Newcastle v PSV Eindhoven, St James' Park, tonight, 7.45pm (live on ITV2)
