Eagles inflict ice Knightmare

Sheffield Steelers are one point away from clinching the Sekonda Superleague title after London Knights lost 6-4 away to the Ayr Scottish Eagles.

Sheffield, who hold a 29 point lead at the top of the League, won both games at the weekend to close in on the title.

With another short bench at Ayr last night, a Bryan Richardson double saw London battle back from a 2-0 deficit to level the game before Ayr opened up a 6-2 lead. New signing Jussi Eloranta and Mark Kolesar scored late consolation goals.
