England win by seven wickets

Robert Key guided England to a sixth consecutive Test win and third series win in succession with a measured half-century at Old Trafford.

Kent batsman Key played the anchor role in Manchester, hauling his side away from the perils of 27 for two as England completed a seven-wicket success, finishing on 231 for three.

Fittingly local hero Andrew Flintoff, who shared in an unbroken century stand with Key, hit the winning run as the home team went 3-0 up with more than 28 overs to spare against Brian Lara's team.

Key finished unbeaten on 93 while Lancashire all-rounder Flintoff was 57 not out and England have now won six Tests in a row for the first time since 1958.
