England unchanged for second ODI

England stuck with a winning team for today's second NatWest Series one-day international against Australia at the SWALEC Stadium.

Mike Yardy was therefore retained as a second spinner, in the same line-up which beat Australia by four wickets at the Rose Bowl two days ago to go 1-0 up with four matches to play.

As in Southampton, Australia won the toss and chose to bat first - this time under partial cloud cover and in fresh conditions for a second successive day-night contest.

Expectations of a slow surface in Cardiff appeared to affect Australia's team selection, Steven Smith in as a second spinner and seamer Clint McKay also named - with pace bowlers Ryan Harris (groin) and Josh Hazlewood the men to give way.
