Euell looks to add to goal tally

13 April 2012

Wimbledon striker Jason Euell believes he can add to his goal tally at lowly Grimsby tonight and close the gap on Division One's leading scorers.

Euell has 17 League goals and trails Fulham's Louis Saha by just three at the top of the chart.

Euell said: "You look at teams in their position (fifth from bottom) and you think there's going to be goals there. No disrespect, but certain teams you play against you think you can get more goals than expected - and that's what I'm going to try to do."

Terry Burton's side have lost once in their last 10 games - on penalties to Wycombe in the fifth round of the FA Cup. They have games in hand on their play-off rivals and Euell's partnership with 20-year-old Patrick Agyemang, who scored the winner against Crystal Palace last weekend, could steer them to a top-six finish.
