Exhange bet of the day

Opposing Martin Pipe and Timmy Murphy is a dangerous business given their record in big races this season, but it could pay to side against Well Chief in tomorrow's Queen Mother Champion Chase.

Granted, he's done wonders during his first season in open company, and his record on this course stands the closest inspection.

However, he jumped sketchily in the Game Spirit Chase last time. He plugged on in willing fashion, but a couple of tough races might have left their mark and, with Azertyuiop and the mighty Moscow Flyer in his way, he's worth laying at a shade over 3-1.

Persian Waters and Lou Du Moulin Mas are the pair who catch the eye as potential value bets at decent odds in the Kim Muir Chase.

The former has progressed well in novice company and has the assistance of one of the best amateurs around in Tom Greenall.

Lou Du Moulin Mas also has a top amateur in Colman Sweeney. He's been costly to follow of late, but he ran a blinder when pipped at Doncaster last time and looks nicely treated off a light weight.
