Fabregas admits Arsenal's home truths

As Arsenal continue their pre-season preparations against Genclerbirligi in Austria tonight, midfielder Cesc Fabregas has warned his team-mates there are "no excuses" for the Gunners not to make the Emirates Stadium a fortress next season.

Arsenal dropped 15 points at home in their first campaign since moving from Highbury, and the 20-year-old admitted: "It was a difficult season last time. It was a big move and very important for the club - but now we are all used to it.

"We are playing the same football we have for the four years I have been here, so we have no excuses."

Arsenal conclude their two-match tour of Austria against Salzburg next Wednesday before hosting the Emirates Cup on 28/29 July, and boss Arsene Wenger hinted fans will get to see the club's new signings including defender Bacary Sagna and striker Eduardo da Silva.

He said: "It will be the first time our new signings play at Emirates Stadium for Arsenal, and the sides we field will be very strong."
