Ferguson - We want Hargreaves

Sir Alex Ferguson has confirmed that Manchester United are attempting to sign Owen Hargreaves from Bayern Munich.
The England international has been seeking urgent talks with the Bundesliga champions in an attempt to resolve his short-term future. Having pointedly refused to commit himself to Bayern, even though he has recently signed a contract which should keep him at the club until 2010, Hargreaves has given clear indications he wants to move to Old Trafford.
And Ferguson admitted his interest in the player saying: "We have been trying to negotiate with Bayern Munich for quite a while now and of course the boy has said he would like to join United. We would like to have him here."
