Flintoff eyes return

England all-rounder Andrew Flintoff remains confident of being back in county action in two months' time.

The 32-year-old Lancashire player has undergone two knee operations since his last game in the final Test of last year's Ashes series. Flintoff has now retired from Test cricket but intends to return and fight for his England place in the limited-overs formats.

Flintoff, who has been training for up to six hours a day at his new base in Dubai, told Sky Sports: "I feel I have turned the corner and I am feeling all right. There is a bit of the light at the end of the tunnel but it is a long time since I last played cricket. I am not going to say I will be back on this day - I think it would be unwise to do that - but I am looking at the end of July, early August."
