Floyd Mayweather has teased the possibility of a rematch with Conor McGregor following the Irishman’s demolition job on Donald Cerrone at UFC 246.

McGregor needed just 40 seconds to get the win as he marked his return to the octagon with a sublime display in Las Vegas.

Following the fight, Mayweather posted a mock-up fight poster on his Instagram page, titled ‘Mayweather McGregor 2, 2020.’

McGregor made his boxing debut against the five-weight world champion in August 2017, with Mayweather comfortably beating the Dubliner to extend his professional record to 50-0.

Ahead of his meeting with Cerrone, McGregor spelled out his intentions to return to boxing, stating a rematch with Mayweather was high on his list of priorities.

Mayweather has signalled his intention to come out of retirement for a third time – but in addition to the McGregor rematch, he has also teased a possibility of a meeting with McGregor’s conqueror Khabib Nurmagomedov.

Perhaps they are just some early morning mind games from 'Money'.
