Neal Ardley is planning on making changes to his side for AFC Wimbledon’s game against Newport County on Saturday afternoon.

The Dons boss, who was today named League Two manager of the month for April, is keen to go into the play-offs with winning momentum.

“We will look to freshen it up. We’ve got some niggles and players who are fatigued.

"Whatever the result, it does not have a bearing on where we finish, but it’s important to take momentum into the play-offs.

“The most important thing is that we keep a good, strong, end of season run going,” he insisted.

A 16-point haul in just seven games helped Wimbledon secure a top-seven finish and several key men, including top scorer Lyle Taylor, could be rested tomorrow.

Midfielder Jake Reeves remains a doubt, having been substituted in the first half during last weekend's 0-0 draw at Stevenage.

Wimbledon do not yet know who they will face in the play-offs, with Accrington Stanley, Bristol Rovers and Oxford United among the south Londoners' potential opponents.
