Alex Iwobi says that Arsenal blood' runs through his veins after revealing he has always loved the club.

The young forward has had an impressive season since breaking into first team at the beginning of the year, with his career going from strength to strength.

The 20-year old has made 12 Premier League appearances for the Gunners, scoring on his first top-flight start against Everton in March.

Iwobi has also made his international debut for Nigeria, while adding another league goal and setting up two more to keep Theo Walcott out of Arsene Wenger's starting XI of late.

"I have always loved Arsenal,” Iwobi told Arsenal Player. “When I was young, I was always waiting to watch the legends of the club play. You could say I have the blood of Arsenal in me!”

Arsene Wenger said in February that he believes the Hale End youth product will become ‘a great player’.

”He moved into the first-team dressing room and I hope he will be in there for a long time.”
