Chelsea's record signing Alvaro Morata has set his sights on winning silverware at the club over any individual accolades.

The 24-year-old scored his second goal for the Blues on Sunday as they bounced back from a difficult start to record their second straight victory.

Morata has already won two La Liga titles and two Champions League medals, as well as various domestic and European cup competitions in Italy and Spain.

And success during spells at Real Madrid and Juventus has only increased his appetite for team success.

Asked if he had set any individual goals for the season, Morata told Chelsea's official website. "It doesn’t matter to me. I prefer to win something.

"I always think this is a team sport. If I begin by thinking how many goals for myself, probably I should play tennis!"

But Morata has warned that he is still adapting to life in the Premier League, insisting he needs time for everything to click into place.

He added: "It’s important for me to play and to make adaptations to my game. It’s not easy: a new country, another language, another style of football.

"I need time for all the things in the Premier League but I’m okay, my team-mates give me a hand to make it easy and I’m very happy to be here."
