Antonio Conte admits fate of Chelsea star Eden Hazard is not his decision

Antonio Conte has suggested he will be powerless to stop Eden Hazard leaving Stamford Bridge if Chelsea decide to sell him one day.

Hazard is one of the best players in the world and is a long-term target for Real Madrid, while Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain are also admirers.

PSG spent a world record £198million on Neymar this week, meaning Chelsea are likely to make in excess of £100m should they ever decide to cash in on their prize asset.

Conte continues to insist he doesn't want to lose the 26-year-old but admits it won't be up to him.

He said: "I have great consideration for this player because he is a top player, but I repeat I'm the coach.

"I can give my opinion but the final decision is always the club's.

"I expect Eden to play for Chelsea. Don't forget we are trying to improve our squad in the numerical aspect."

It is understood that Chelsea have no interest in selling Hazard and as Standard Sport revealed in May, the club told the attacking midfielder they intend to make him the focal point of the team for years to come.

The Belgium international has three years left on his contract, but Chelsea intend to give him a pay-rise to £300,000-a-week.
