Antonio Conte: I trust every member of my Chelsea squad

Antonio Conte has insisted he trusts every single member of his Chelsea squad after the Italian took the decision to make several changes for the Blues' FA Cup fifth-round tie with Wolves on Saturday.

With David Luiz, who has been struggling with a knee issue since December, Marcos Alonso and Thibaut Courtois being rested for the trip to Molineux, Conte fielded an entirely fresh back line consisting of John Terry, Kurt Zouma and Nathan Ake.

He also started academy product Nathaniel Chalobah alongside Cesc Fabregas in the centre of midfield, but chose to play his first-choice attackers in the form of Diego Costa, Pedro, Willian and Eden Hazard.

The different line-up initially struggled to contain a Wolves side who had knocked Liverpool and Stoke out of the FA Cup on route to their tie with Chelsea on Saturday.

But a 65th-minute header from Pedro along with a late Costa goal ensured Conte's men secured the victory they needed to book their place in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup.

After the 2-0 win, Conte insisted he has faith in all of his squad members despite the fact he has fielded, invariably, what has been the same team in the Premier League since losing to Arsenal back in September.

"I trust in the squad and these players. Today they gave me good attitude," he told BT Sport.

"Our target was to get into the next round. In the first half we suffered a bit but in the second half we scored two goals and we deserved to win the game.

"It's important to understand that every game (in the FA Cup) is not easy."
