Antonio Conte keen for Chelsea to install bed at Cobham training ground due to long working hours

Antonio Conte has revealed he will ask for a bed to be installed for him at Chelsea's training ground due to the long hours he puts in at the club's Cobham base.

Conte took charge at Stamford Bridge in the summer and has made an encouraging start to his career in English football.

The Blues are unbeaten in the first four Premier League games of the season and could climb to the top of the table with victory over Liverpool tonight.

Conte is determined to help Chelsea reclaim their place among the elite and appears to be willing to go the extra mile to achieve his goal as he adjust to life in the capital.

"When there is my wife and daughter, then I am allowed to go in together and visit and enjoy London and it is a fantastic city," he told Sky Sports.

"When I stay a long time here, it is very difficult for me because I stay at Stamford Bridge for eight or nine hours, I prefer to work here [Chelsea's training ground at Cobham].

"But in the future I want to ask for a bed here, because there could be a situation that happens where there is the possibility I want to stay here," he added.

Conte's unfaltering work ethic has struck a chord with the west London crowd and the 46-year-old has vowed to continue his passionate displays on the touchline.

"When I became a manager, my enthusiasm became more because when you have the possibility to waste your energy and show your passion during the game, it is good.

"But when it is impossible to waste your energy and stay on the bench and watch the game tensely, it is very difficult."

Chelsea's clashes with Liverpool have been feisty affairs in recent years and tonight's game is not expected to be any different.
