'Leave it out!' - Antonio Conte laughs off quitting Chelsea for AC Milan

Antonio Conte has dismissed suggestions he is planning to quit Chelsea for AC Milan in the summer.

Sunday's 1-0 Premier League win against Manchester United eased some of the pressure on Conte, but his long-term future at the club remains under scrutiny.

The Italian only agreed to a pay-rise, rather than a contract extension, in the summer and he has been frustrated over the club’s transfer business.

AC Milan, however, continue to be linked with Conte. They are nine points off a top-four place in Serie A under coach Vincenzo Montella, despite spending more than £160million on new players in the last transfer window.

Conte said: "Milan? Leave it out! We’re trying to stay concentrated because it’s a tough run from here to the end of the season.

"I am only concentrated on Chelsea and purely want to do what is best for Chelsea."

Chelsea trail Premier League leaders Manchester City by nine points but goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois insists the defence of their Premier League trophy is not over yet.

He said: "Last year we were eight points behind City at one stage and then we went on a winning run. I hope we can do the same.

"We have to hope now they drop points. At the moment they are a bit unstoppable, they are playing very well and scoring goals.

"But the season is very long, they could have injuries, play a bit worse and lose some games. We have to be there and keep winning our games."
