AC Milan chief Adriano Galliani has warned whoever wins the race for Geoffrey Kondogbia will 'haemorrhage money'.

Milan have joined the fight for Tottenham and Arsenal target Kondogbia, but Galliani expects Monaco to raise their asking price above £29million.

Monaco manager Leonardo Jardim conceded the France international could leave Stade Louis II this summer for 'financial reasons' and members of the Gunners hierarchy are keen on bringing him to north London.

Spurs are reportedly interested in trumping Arsenal's bid but Milan chief Galliani has warned the growing list of suitors is driving up Kondogbia's price tag.

"Whoever wins [will haemorrhage money]. Without wanting to withdraw from the race, the competition has exploded, increasing the price tag and the player's wages," Galliani told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

"We're starting from at £25m but one can imagine having to go more than £29m and Kondgobia himself is now asking for maybe £700,000 to be convinced.
