Arsenal finalising pre-season plans with return to Germany before USA trip

Gunners visited Bavarian town last summer

Arsenal are finalising plans to head to Adidas’ headquarters in Herzogenaurach as part of their pre-season.

The Gunners visited the base last year as part of their preparations and it proved very popular with players.

The facilities at the Bavarian town in Germany are among the best in the world, while players can stay on site and cycle to training.

Other clubs, including Dutch side Ajax, are planning to visit during the off-season and take advantage of their partnership with Adidas.

Arsenal are planning to have a mini training camp there at the start of July before heading to the United States for a tour.

The Gunners are playing in Washington, New York and Los Angeles during their trip and will face the likes of Barcelona and Manchester United.

The game against Barcelona will take place at the SoFi Stadium, home of the LA Rams - which is Arsenal owner Stan Kroenke’s NFL franchise.
