Arsenal have been handed a major injury boost after Thomas Partey and Emile Smith Rowe were passed fit to face Manchester United on Saturday evening.

Both midfielders had been forced off during the win over Southampton on Tuesday, but will be available for selection at the Emirates.

The pair’s involvement is a massive boost for Mikel Arteta, with Smith Rowe having formed a key part of the club’s recent resurgence, while marquee summer signing Partey has also been in fine form.

Meanwhile, a late decision will be made over whether star left-back Kieran Tierney can be involved. The Scot missed the win at St. Mary’s with a calf problem and is continuing to be assessed.

The Gunners will remain without Spanish duo Dani Ceballos and Pablo Mari, though both are back in training after calf problems.

Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang had already been ruled out of the game, having missed the last two matches due to personal reasons, with his mother suffering from ill-health.
