Arsenal need a miracle to win the Premier League title, admits Alexandre Lacazette

Alexandre Lacazette believes Arsenal need a “miracle” to win the Premier League title.

The Gunners head into tonight’s clash at West Ham 17 points behind leaders City.

Arsene Wenger has refused to concede defeat after just 16 games but Lacazette, who could be rested tonight, is more pessimistic about their chances.

“It would be complicated to win it at this point, we’d need a miracle,” he said. “City would need to lose a lot of games and we know their record. But the goal in coming here was to qualify for the Champions League and it we get the title, fantastic.

“City are very good. They have had a lot of success and you reap your own rewards. But don’t think they are unbeatable.”

Wenger is expected to rotate his squad, with Shkodran Mustafi (thigh) and Aaron Ramsey (hamstring) out.

The Frenchman is considering moving to a back four, with Laurent Koscielny and Nacho Monreal deployed at centre-back, while Jack Wilshere and Olivier Giroud are both in line to make their first League starts of the season.
