Arsenal transfer news: Galatasaray revive interest in Lukas Podolski

Galatasaray’s manager has confirmed that Arsenal forward Lukas Podolski is on the club’s shortlist.

The World Cup-winning international seems to be unwanted at the Emirates, having spent the second half of the season on loan at Inter Milan, where he scored just one goal in 17 Serie A appearances.

The Turkish champions had previously ruled out any interest in the striker but the manager has confirmed that both Podolski and Marseille’s Andre-Pierre Gignac are on his transfer list.

"Podolski and Gignac are both on out shortlist," manager Hamza Hamzaoglu told NTV Sport. "We have not yet entered direct talks."

Germany’s third highest-scoring striker has said that he will still play for Arsenal if he is needed. Speaking at a press conference earlier in the week Podolski said: “If need be, I will be at Arsenal next season. It's a great club, and I think that I can help the team."
